Valentine Hair Ideas

Emma did Claire's hair for church today and did a Valentine hair do. Go to www.cutegirlshairstyles.com for other Valentine hair ideas.
Emma and I made clips for Valentines Day using sweet heart candies.

Claire will smile and pose for Emma any day. I'm glad I have an assistant around!

Flashback Friday

It seems like just yesterday Emma was bringing home a guinea pig named bear. It was such a good little animal. Malissa was especially excited to hold it every chance she got. If you can only imagine the begging we got after Emma returned it to her school. Luckily we had a few cats at the time so we had a good excuse why we shouldn't have another pet.

Black and White Wednesday

I wanted to show this picture in black and white and color to show Claire's unique style. We are always amazed at the choice of outfits she chooses. Claire would probably wear her leotard, and winter wear everyday if we let her. She makes us laugh all the time. We're always wondering what she is going to do next. What a fun age!

Candy Cane lollipops

Last year my friend made these cute lollipops and posted them on her blog. I really wanted to make these for my daughters Valentine treats this year. I went through a few candy canes before I figured out how to make them look right. (Luckily I have a friend who had a few extra candy canes from Christmas.) Here is how to make them.
1. You will need the mini candy canes and lollipop sticks. (Make sure to have extra candy canes.)
2. Buy (if you don't have one) a silicone sheet. I tried wax paper. The candy canes were flat and stuck to the paper. (Parchment paper might be ok.)
3. Heat your oven to 300 degrees.
4. Put two candy canes together to make a heart. Only put 4-5 candy cane hearts on a sheet.
5. Bake for 4-5 minutes.
6. Immediately squeeze the bottom part to a lollipop stick and squeeze the top too. ( You will need to hurry because it hardens quickly!)
7. Place them on a cookie sheet to cool. Enjoy!

Flashback Friday

We had a family reunion in February 2009 up in Salt Lake. Luke and his cousins were having a great time snow boarding at a local park. They especially liked having fresh powder. It was a beautiful day for everyone.

Black and White Wednesday

I haven't taken pictures of the girls with their violins for a long time. I thought this would be great practice for a black and white photo. (I used my 50mm lens.)

Eagle Court of Honor

On Sunday Luke had his Eagle Court. It was a very exciting day for him! Two other boys got their eagle awards too. It was nice to have the court of honor with two other families. We are so grateful for the support Luke has recieved through his whole scouting experience! Thank you to all our family, leaders and friends! It's been a great experience for all of us!
