Malissa's Baptism on Halloween

Malissa was baptized on Halloween. It was a very special day for her! We are so proud of her decision to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints. Congratulations to Malissa on her special day!

My mom joined Malissa, Claire and I and dressed like a witch. Very scary witches!
It was fun to have my sister's kids come join us for trick or treating. Great weather too!

Luke was hired to stand like a statue and scare people at a house in our neighborhood. He really did look like a statue next to the wall. It kept him busy since last year was his last year to trick or treat.

Josh dressed up in his Japanese kimono and passed out candy. Great fun!

Malissa's Birthday Weekend

On Malissa's Birthday she had her ears pierced at Claire's in the mall. Malissa was very brave!

Eight is Great!

Malissa wanted to go to the Hee Haw Farm on her Birthday. The kids were really excited to take Claire to see the farm animals, and all the fun activities there.
Malissa had a Halloween Party with her friends. October is such a fun month to have a Birthday because you get to have a Halloween theme party.

My friend gave me this idea for Malissa's party. It turned out great! I loved how the kids turned the witch around to make an icecream cone.

We can't believe Malissa is turning eight today! It seems like yesterday that our brown eyed girl was born in this world. She was so alert when she was born and she was such a good baby!

Malissa is a very happy girl! She has a very funny sense of humor. She can be quiet but when you get to know her she is quite the opposite. She loves to read! She can be found reading at the dinner table, in the car or wherever. She loves school and makes friends easily. She is also a big help to her mom and dad in taking care of her baby sister. She will feed her, change her or get her sister's cup without us telling her to. We are so happy to have her in our home! We love you Malissa......Happy Birthday!!!

Bye Bye Binkie

It has been a week since we took Claire's binkie away for good. It was a very sad week because she loved having the binkie for bedtime. She cried and cried but every night she is crying less. Our other children weaned themselves at twelve months but Claire has really attached herself to the binkie. On one of the days last week Claire found a binkie and she had the most guilty look on her face when I looked over to see her holding it to her mouth. It was pretty funny! Bye Bye Binkie!

Over the Weekend

Lately Emma is really into Gymnastics!!! Everyday she practices doing front flips on our lawn. She is also begging us to put her in a class. We are looking into it. While Emma was doing flips, Claire was watching her from the window. It was cute to watch them react to each other! We also went to a fun park in Pleasant Grove called the Discovery Park. The kids love to spin and get each other dizzy! I love when they get along....... once in awhile!
