Malissa dressed as a Pioneer

Pioneer Decorations
Malissa's first grade class gave a Pioneer Devotional
at their school last week. As usual Malissa wasn't nervous
to give her part and did a great job! This is her part.
"The second year the pioneers were here, they needed
to plant extra crops to feed all the new members who
were coming to Utah. Before the crops were ready to
harvest, millions of crickets began eating the plants.
The Saints did everything they could to get rid of the
crickets. Nothing worked! They knelt down in the fields
and prayed for help. Thousands of seagulls came and
swallowed up the crickets. The Saints thanked Heavenly
Father for the miracle that had saved the crops."
All the children shared stories about the pioneers.
It was a wonderful devotional!

I do miss the great devotionals at American Heritage. Those were always so worthwhile.
That smile is pretty special, too.
What a cute pioneer girl!
