This picture was taken in January 2006. Or family went to Zion's National Park. I love this picture because Malissa wasn't looking at the camera. She was just sitting on the red rock looking so content. I also noticed Malissa with a stick in her hand that reminded me that she used to carry sticks with her when we went on hikes. She also has three bracelets on her ankles.Friday, January 21, 2011

Black and White Wednesday

Today I thought I would start Black and White Wednesday because I need to work on my black and white shots. This is Claire wearing her new undies. She is starting to potty train and is so excited. She has had a few accidents but she is progressing. Wish us luck.

Snowman Party

I read in the Family Fun magazine about having a snowman party in the month of January. I thought it was a fun idea! On Friday we had our party. Malissa was sick that day so Luke stayed home with her. We made snowman cards, made snowman cupcakes, and played three games. (Don't eat Frosty, pin the nose on the snowman and a relay race.) My sister Emilee did a great job hosting and decorated her home with snowmen. We hope to start this as a new tradition!Friday, January 14, 2011
Flashback Friday
I am going to start Flashback Friday every Friday. This is a picture that was taken two years ago in January. Josh helped the girls make an igloo. They were so excited about it and played in it all day. It's fun to look back and see what the kids did at this time of the year. Tuesday, January 11, 2011
What do we do when the temperature is in the teens?
We layer! It was so nice of Luke to help Claire with her coat. He really loves her a lot!Friday, January 7, 2011
This week.....
Malissa got to go on a field trip to the ice skating rink. It was her first time on ice skates and she loved it! It was great to see that she kept trying even after she fell a few times.
Malissa also found a lady bug. She thought it was very strange to see one in the winter time.
Claire wanted to feed the chickens and build a chicken coop. This is her creation. She even put everything away without being asked. We love how clean and organized she is.
Claire also discovered the napkin trick of hiding her food that she doesn't like. We couldn't believe she had learned this trick so early. Smart little girl.Sunday, January 2, 2011
Happy New Year!
We surprised the kids this year and made them breakfast for dinner. They loved it! This might be a new tradition every year for New Years Eve.

We bought silly string, horns and hats. Josh was probably the most excited about the hats and horns!
